“The David Snowdon Trust has provided a Grant of £1,000 per month for a period of 12 months.
Due to the cost of living crisis Penrith Salvation Army has seen a massive rise in numbers. The Grant has enabled us to purchase foods that we do not have in supply, e.g. meats, sugar, butter, etc. It has also assisted with running costs and helped to cover payment of utility bills.
We are able to provide a 7 day food parcel for people who have been referred – breakfast, lunch, evening meal and treats.
The Homeless Team also make referrals and we can provide cooked meals to these people.
This Grant has been a tremendous help during this difficult period. ”
